Managed Care Plan

Nomie’s Breath Doula Services include personal support to individuals and families throughout pregnancy and one year postpartum. This includes emotional and physical support provided during pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period up to 12 months after pregnancy, as well as support for and after miscarriage or abortion.

With Managed Care Service Plans (Kaiser Northern California, Alameda Alliance, Partnership Health Plan, Medi-Cal), covered doula services include:

• 90-minute consultation to discuss your birth preferences, pregnancy or birth concerns, pain management techniques, and prenatal care

• Up to four (4) prenatal sessions

• 24/7 on-call availability from 38 weeks of pregnancy until the baby's birth

• Continuous physical, emotional, and informational support during labor and delivery

• Up to two (2) post-partum visits to provide guidance and support with initial breastfeeding/feeding and postpartum recovery.

Scope of Services

Managed Care and Medi-Cal services are delivered on a fee-for-service basis and claimed directly to the plan. No payment is due from the client unless otherwise stated. Visit your member information for additional details. All insured clients must provide their insurance details before signing the contract.

Services not covered by Medi-Cal (including optional add-ons or extended services beyond plan limits) may be offered on a self-pay basis and will require a separate agreement.
